THE LIFE OF THE MOUNTAIN

The mountains and forests make up a large vegetal map of Morella. These areas are populated, among other species, oaks, maples, black pine, pine, Scotch pine, elm, walnut, almond, olive trees, juniper, poplar ... In addition to numerous other areas of vegetation and bushes, many varieties of aromatic and medicinal herbs such as rosemary, thyme, lavender, chamomile, pennyroyal, blackberry, boxwood, rock rose, hawthorn, blackthorn, juniper, gorse, mistletoe , fennel, elder, savory, ivy, holly, honeysuckle, poppies

As for fauna, Morella's sky is crossed by numerous species of birds, from golden eagles, owls, short-toed eagles, hoopoe, common falcons, crows, pigeons and, above all, the vulture. But among Morella's fauna the Cabra Hispánica has the largest population, with the boar. This land is also inhabited by common hedgehog, wild cats, moles, badgers, weasels and ferrets, squirrels and foxes.
