DESCRIPTION OF TRAIL

This path starts at the Pereroles refuge, following the track through which you arrive from the N-232. At the confluence of the ravine with the road, take a secondary track marked on the bed of the ravine. Go up the track, but you should left it soon, in order to turn left to another trail with a steep slope that runs through the bushes until you arrive to mixed forest dominated by pine trees. Without leaving the trail and still climbing, the path continues further on until it becomes a byway trail. The itinerary continues on this track until it reaches another trail that crosses the Pereroles public hill that has a lot of vegetation. The path then turns right and follows the trail to the main road to Herbés, right next to the cottage Torre Miró.

Cross the road, then after a few meters before the junction with the old route of the N232, take a track to the left, which is flat at first, which enters into a small dry stone street. Continue along this street until it reaches a track that follows the same direction, from where you will see the Hermitage of Santa Marc in front of you. After a sharp bend, take the trail that goes down to the old route of the N232. Once you arrive there, cross and continue straight. The path now goes down a trail that leads you to the Font del Cup.

It quickly turns left into an underground passage beneath the current route of the N-232. Once you have crossed, it turns again to the left and, along a paved trail, you have to begin climbing, parallel to the side of the road. After the climb, leave this paved passage to continue the slope until you reach a busy road. The path will now continue along the wind farm.

The track then starts to go down moderately. Follow the main path until you reach the electrical substation of the wind farm, where the track joins another trail on the left. Take the second track on the right. Further on, just before the trail begins to go up, the path leaves the track and follows a steep slope near a dry stonewall. The trail enters into the woods of oaks and scrub and it goes down a sharp slope until it reaches the Mas del Carrascal. The trail surrounds the top of the buildings, and then continues to the right side of the track. It goes down, winding through a forest of green oaks before arriving to a meadow where there is a track you must follow on the right, which ends in a cultivated field. It clearly continues towards the end of the itinerary, on the right, for about 400 m.

Then, before the track ends, after a sharp bend, it should be abandoned turning left, and after turning right again, you must continue on a path between walls that you must not leave until you arrive at Xiva. At first, the slope is gentle, graded, and then it becomes more pronounced when crossing a small ravine. It will be fairly levelled at first, until you reach a suspension bridge in the rock wall of the chapel of the Roser, in Xiva. At the end of the stone passage, the slope reaches the almond fields and it becomes much more pronounced. You will see, for the first time, the houses of the village where the tour ends.
